Plugd / Business cards to Excel

Scan business cards to Excel.

Point your Android phone at a business card and Plugd reads the name, title, company, phone, email, website, LinkedIn and address with AI. When you're done, export the whole stack to an Excel spreadsheet or a CRM-ready CSV.

How to scan business cards into Excel

  1. Install Plugd from Google Play and add your AI key in Settings (Google Gemini has a free tier).
  2. Create an event or list, for example "Expo 2026" or "Client cards".
  3. Hold each card up to the camera. Plugd captures the front, then the back, without a shutter button.
  4. Check any field that was read wrong and fix it with a tap.
  5. Tap Export and choose Excel (.xlsx). Share it by email, save it to Drive, or open it in Excel or Google Sheets.

What's in the spreadsheet

One row per contact, with columns for name, title, company, email, phone, website, LinkedIn, address, context (your transcribed voice note), lead (hot, warm or cold), follow-up flag, tags, source (card, QR or NFC), event and the time it was scanned. You can export a whole event or just a filtered slice, such as only hot leads.

Business cards to your CRM

Choose CSV instead of Excel to get a plain file that imports into HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive and most other CRMs. Map the columns once in your CRM's import screen. To save someone to your phone's address book instead, open them and tap Save contact, or export a .vcf.

Accuracy and languages

Plugd uses a modern AI model from the provider you choose (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude or OpenRouter) instead of basic OCR, so it handles unusual layouts, logos, vertical text and many languages. Cards that couldn't be read are flagged under "to fix", and the photo is always kept so nothing is lost.
